Why we made it this way
Color Swirl is built around one moment: letting go. While you touch, your stir fades fast; once you lift your finger it fades slowly, so the colour takes about four seconds to glide back to its gentle drift. We wanted that settling to be the reward, not a score or a goal.
Between 1,200 and 3,000 specks (depending on your screen) follow a smooth flow field and leave soft trails. The default palette follows your mood's colours, and the ๐จ chip switches to Rainbow, Ocean or Sunset. While you stir, a very quiet hum rises and falls with how hard you're stirring. Nothing ever flashes.
It plays with touch, mouse or keyboard (arrows stir, Space blooms, P changes colours) and there is no way to lose, so it suits adults on a break and kids alike. Among satisfying games online it is one of the quietest: stir hard when you feel wound up, then just watch.
Good for these moods
- ๐ซ Stressed: Slow, flowing colour to rest your eyes on. Stir as much as you like, then watch it all calm down by itself.
- ๐ Angry: Stir it up as hard as you want: big swirls, no mess. When you let go, the storm settles on its own ๐
